Design as a livelihood
Rants No Comments »Many times per day, I’ve been asked “What exactly do you do?”
It was way easier when I was a computer programmer. However, stating that I create graphics in the past has been relegated to creating either advertisements for soup – not that I don’t mind soup – to blown up to producing animations and graphics for movies such at Terminator 2.
I swear… more folks over 40 must have been seriously “wowed” the first time the T-1000 actually transformed into liquid metal than the landing on the moon for our generation. In simpler terms, I’ve had more conversations about that than Neil Armstrong. Damn shame.
So today, I decided a new approach. “I make pretty pictures…”
Big mistake.
Today is the first time I’ve had to show that I was not indeed wearing pink boxers, I indeed date women, and that I enjoy pr0n as much as the next horny guy. Just over a simple statement… pretty pictures…
I guess it’s a shame for a man to make pretty pictures.
Oh well. I hope they don’t mind that I’ll probably photoshop myself into the photos I took of their daughters doing “manly things” and sell them on eBay.
Or worse. Add them.
