1/2 oz. white rum
1 1/2 oz. Cointreau
Cola
Fill a shaker with ice, then pour in rum and Cointreau. Shake, pour over ice and then top with Coca-Cola.
For this one, I substituted white rum with my favorite sugar cane rum (brazilian cachaça) and evened out the mix to a 3/4 oz. mix for both liquors instead. This balanced out the almost over-powering taste of the Cointreau and adds a bit of bite on the back end of this drink. Comes off almost like a modified Cuba Libre.
