Here’s another GPS add-on for photography enthusiasts. The Photo Trackr from GiSTEQ is a pocket-sized device that syncs with the clock in your digital camera to keep track of where each and every photo was taken. Once you get back to your PC you sync up the data from the Trackr with your photos and using something like Google Maps you’ll be able to plot out every location.

As someone who tends to shoot a lot of pictures when I travel I could really benefit from one of these. But given how small GPS chips have become it won’t be long before even the smallest of P&S cameras has this functionality already built-in, so I think I’ll wait it out.

Also, at what point in history did dropping the ‘e’ from certain words make them seem high-tech? Adding an ‘i’ can easily be traced back to the iPod but what inspired Tracker to become Trackr?
