You know those three little holes in your walls from which floweth the magic juice of gadget power? Turns out even the useless ones are good for something. Conceptual designer Scott Amron proposes to take over all of those lonely outlets with useful (and non-conductive) objects, like planting pots, vases, toothbrush holders, and even fire extinguishers (as “firewalls,” of course). In addition to being whimsically functional, the “Dielectrics” serve to protect the outlets from the suicidally probing fingers of unfortunate small children.
You can buy the planter plug prototype for an outrageous $225 here; the other designs are also for sale.
