An Ultra Bright Light that you Probably Can’t Afford

There are very few people out there who can afford or would use a Betty cycle lamp. I would love one and I would be able to use one, as I am a night cyclist. I have had more crashes and near misses from incompetent drivers than I care to recall. The worst instance involved a red Volkswagen Golf cutting in front of me when I was doing 32 kilometers per hour. I avoided him / her then slammed into a gutter and landed on my face; luckily the injuries were only superficial.
The Betty Cycle Lamp is an LED lamp so bright (1,400 lumens) that it can probably blind oncoming traffic. You might want to take it off your bike at night, however, as it costs $1,185. It costs a lot but it will keep you safer… oh if I could only afford one.
