Control your house with a touch of a button
Speaking freewire is easy. There are just a few words that we use to describe important parts of the freewire system. You’ll want to understand these words – they’ll make it even easier to set up and talk about freewire. The first one is The MESSENGER HUB – the brain of the freewire system. When it is plugged into an AC outlet it has the ability to receive Radio Frequency (RF) signals from the remotes and the ability to send messages through your home’s existing wiring to all receivers that are set to the same house code. It can also be used to control incandescent lamps rated up to 500 watts, (Plugged into the bottom of the Messenger Hub).
The second one is The UNIT CODE which allows you to assign a number (1-16) to any freewire unit in your home system. We do have The HOUSE CODE that prevents interference with other freewire systems that may be in your neighborhood. When you set your House Code to a letter (A – P) you are choosing a distinct communication language between all parts of your freewire system. It is essential that all units in your freewire system be set to the same House Code letter for it to operate correctly.
We also have the SYNCHRONIZATION. When you first install your freewire units it is essential that you match up the wireless transmitters. This will synchronize their wireless communication in a distinct way that prevents interference with other freewire systems. The COLOR SEGMENTS on the Unit Code wheels that are six colors (or Zones) help you to designate Unit Codes to various parts of your house.
GROUPS are shortcut buttons to operating any combination of up to four receiver Unit Codes and the HOUSE button –
When you press HOUSE ON all the Lamp Receivers and the Messenger Hub in your freewire system will turn on (for safety reasons, it will not turn on appliance receivers). When you press HOUSE OFF everything in your freewire system will turn off – this is the fastest way to turn off all your freewire units. Check more information and common questions HERE.
