SEOUL, Korea (AVING) — Dell expects to launch its new ultra-portable laptop ‘E4200’ featuring a 12.1-inch WXGA LED-backlit display.

Weighting only one kilogram, the notebook comes in a magnesium-alloy casing, which allows it to compete with Apple’s MacBook Air ultra-portable computer. But it does not come with a built-in optical drive.

Equipped with Ultra-Low Voltage processor ‘Centrino 2(code-named Montevina), the E4200 adopted Intel’s Turbo Memory 2.0 and UMA graphic card. It has the option of choosing either a 32GB or 64GB SSD.

It is expected to be available in September, and no words on pricing yet.
