AT&T today announced that they’ve just opened up their U-Verse VDSL service to small businesses. AT&T’s offering speeds up to 10Mbps ranging from $40-$100; a far cry from T1 costs, but according to the AT&T FAQ, there’s no SLA. It’s also obviously not quite as speedy as business FiOS. The service does come with a free in-office gateway (3800HGV-B) and unlimited free access to the AT&T network of hotspots. Last September I spoke to Speakeasy CEO Bruce Chatterly about how they’d largely abandoned the residential market for the small business dollar because he felt the major players really weren’t paying attention to that market. Perhaps that’s slowly changing.

The Internet has come a long way since its inception. There are now several different ways to get an internet connection. One can do this by inserting wireless internet card in computer or can use DSL. Apart from this, internet phones and ip phones are there as well to help people connect internet through phones. Internet telephony is not the last option available, wireless internet providers are there as well to offer internet connectivity.
