The FCC recently leaked information indicating that Kevin Martin has plans to approve the merger of Sirius and XM but no official news has yet been released. The merger has been pending approval for over two years and those following the case are excited to report that it does look like a decision will come soon. The issue is listed on the FCC s Items on Circulation report which typically means that a decision will be rendered within approximately three weeks. With DOJ approval already in place and the long process leading up to this point, it is unlikely that there will be any surprises regarding final approval of the merger.
