U.S. Beats Europe In 3G Device Penetration – 28.4% of population has 3G-enabled device….

According to new data from ComScore, U.S. 3G subscribers have grown eighty percent to 64.2 million in the past year. While we were initially behind Europe in the number of wireless customers with 3G devices, we’re now number one in the report — with 28.4% of the population owning a 3G-capable device. Of course Europe is only .1% behind us in penetration, but for those really, really concerned with being number one — you should sleep a little better tonight knowing we love our smartphones (assuming you don’t notice the report fails to mention Asia).
