A few years ago we could only talk or send messages by a mobile phone. Now we are invaded with tons of facilities, we even do not know what mean some of them: GPRS, UMTS, MMS, WAP, GSM, CDMA, EV-DO, EDGE, CSD. As any industry that is advancing, this one is getting more and more complex. Due to technological advancement it was stupid that a mobile phone that has a processing power as one on a PC to stay blocked only on calling and messaging functions. The answer of the producers was the soft standardization and as a result appearance of operating systems. So, mobile phone producers can direction their researches strictly on hardware and not to think about soft.
