Behold, the Samsung 8-megapixel Quad-Band GSM cellphone.
Sure, we’ve all heard it before applied to lesser phone… “iPhone Killer”. This time, as an iPhone 3G owner, it might be true this time. Boasting an 8-megapixel auto-focus camera that would invariably make the 2-megapixel camera in the iPhone 3G have some serious envy, it also boasts a few things that might make a tech lover swoon: DiVX support with TV-Out, GPS, 7.2Mbs HSDPA, FM Radio, touch screen, MicroSD…
Yes. It’s a nice phone indeed. But it’s really a direct competitor to the LG Renoir (LG KC910), the phone that replaced the Viewty (LG KU990). The Renoir also has an 8-megapixel camera.
It’s a measure of just how advanced the cameraphone market has become when an 8 megapixel lens doesn’t raise temperatures as much as it would have done six months ago, but Samsung are really going for domination in this section of the market with the INNOV8 also boasting a similar camera but without the enhancements the Pixon branding will bring. The M8800 Pixon will feature autofocus and a flash obviously, but also face/smile/blink detection, panoramic shooting, image stabalisation and shake reduction software, all of which are to be found on ‘proper’ point-and-shoot cameras.
Impressive indeed. I think the only thing missing besides the kitchen sink from this phone is wifi. Due in early November for about $800 USD.

The Internet has come a long way since its inception. There are now several different ways to get an internet connection. One can do this by inserting wireless internet card in computer or can use DSL. Apart from this, internet phones and ip phones are there as well to help people connect internet through phones. Internet telephony is not the last option available, wireless internet providers are there as well to offer internet connectivity.

yes, it is very disappointing that there is no Wi-Fi on this great phone, and that is why I don’t think it will be the “iPhone killer”. The Lg is a more likely competitor to the iPhone.
However, this is a brilliant phone, I love the interface, and to be honest I’d rather use it than the iPhone!

When it comes to looks the Pixon resembles a lot of other Samsung devices such as Tocco F480, S5230… And its casing seems kinda plastic. According to the GSMArEna it is the Slimmest 8MP phone. Viewed from the specs, this is a phone all about multimedia. But the lack of Wi-Fi connectivity must be a probable reason for people not to choose this phone.
