Verizon hopes that the new Blackberry Storm will help them retain/regain customers who’ve either already defected for — or are currently lusting after the iPhone. The device may be offered at a subsidized price point for as low as 0, though it sells for as much as 0 without a plan or contract. However, it looks like the folks at Verizon made a conscious decision to not include tri-band HSDPA so there would be less hacking and porting. The lack of Wi-Fi is also a deal breaker for many people.
