Verizon Wireless Mobile Cell Sites Fuel Coverage at Phoenix International Raceway

CHANDLER, Ariz., Nov. 7 /PRNewswire/ — Verizon Wireless’ pit crew of
network technicians have deployed two Cells on Wheels to Phoenix International
Raceway (PIR) to ensure “pole position” wireless service during this weekend’s
race.

Verizon Wireless deploys mobile cell sites to enhance its network
following natural disasters, and for large community events like the race at
PIR. The two COWs deployed to the track can handle hundreds of phone calls
and data transmissions simultaneously.

“Verizon Wireless customers at PIR can rely on the nation’s most reliable
voice and data network for calls, downloads and e-mails,” said Greg Carek,
Southwest region network executive director for Verizon Wireless. “We are
