Do you mean uninstall to change the version or just delete the download after you’ve installed it? If it’s the latter, you just go to your Game icon in the crossbar, scroll down to the Memory Stick, highlight the 5.02 downloaded update, and then hit triangle, then choose delete.

If you want to downgrade or do any of the custom firmware stuff, I seriously can’t help you there.

My psp can’t even find the 5.02 version, it just tells me 5.01 is the latest version. I don’t know if it matters, but i recently got a new memory stick and it hasn’t updated since then. Any ideas?

What’s full of shit? That you can’t use a system of upgrades that’s been in place for the last few years successfully?

Or that you didn’t pay attention to fact that if you wanted to keep playing homebrew and/or games from your memory card that an “official” upgrade has NEVER been the way to go since 2006?

Seriously. As a person that plays only store bought games, this upgrade was straight-forward. If you’re deeply entrenched into the custom firmware scene, you know how to continue that route.

Anyway, the 5.02 upgrade (for me) worked on a 2000, not a phat (fat).

Not the one sourced from Sony, Ryan. The 5.00 m33-6 firmware (just Google for it) via Dark Alex (and that scene) can play downloaded games.

I just bought a used PSP from an estate sale, and only because I thought it was too good of a deal to pass up…(I think they thought it was broken, but it isn’t)..How do I find out what version I have, and is there a download available for the instruction booklet?

I have no clue as how this works, if there are different types of games and movies, or even if I need some extra accessories. All I have is the game and the A/C cord to recharge the battery.

Can someone help or let me know about any sites that can walk me through…I would at least like to know how to figure out which version I have so I can buy some games for my daughter online.

There is a way to get rid of the 5.02 update, i recommend to downgrade to version 1.5 to play homebrewgames, search on google for downgrades.
