Time Warner Cable tells the Associated Press that Viacom is demanding programming rate increases of between 22 percent and 36 percent per channel, a hike Time Warner calls “exorbitant.” “Basically we’re trying to hold the line for our customer,” insists the cable company. But the operator goes on to note that part of the dispute is that Viacom won’t share revenue from online video.
