It’s interesting to note that Charter has apparently taken a page out of Comcast’s new support book, and has begun helping broadband customers via Twitter. As part of their new outreach program, they’ve also apparently suggested that regular Charter techs should no longer offer support in our forums in any official capacity. “In order to ensure that I am in compliance with Charter’s recently revised Online Communications Policy I have decided to stop posting to this and other sites,” says one tech.
Instead, Charter has offered a single point of contact for our forums and is working on a new, official, specialized support team tasked with helping you fix your problems:
Both Comcast and Charter traditionally sit at the bottom of most consumer satisfaction surveys. In an attempt to resolve this, both companies have been changing their approach to technical support — and have started realizing that our forums are an excellent way to reach out and help a greater number of customers. We’ve reached out to Charter about offering a specialized direct Broadband Reports support forum (AT&T, Verizon, Cablevision and others currently offer this), and will keep you posted.

The Internet has come a long way since its inception. There are now several different ways to get an internet connection. One can do this by inserting wireless internet card in computer or can use DSL. Apart from this, internet phones and ip phones are there as well to help people connect internet through phones. Internet telephony is not the last option available, wireless internet providers are there as well to offer internet connectivity.

Making heads or tails of the Comcast triple play bundle
I’m new in my area and could do with some assistance in choosing the best extras from Comcast, my local provider, or whether it would be best to go separate for my phone, internet, and TV service. There are a wide variety of offerings and services from just about everyone of them, but most are offered by Comcast. I’m not sure if going with all three digital services from Comcast is best or if I should break them up between different providers. The phone company is now offering digital TV in this area, although it is very pricey. Satellite television seems like the cheaper option until you factor in adding a bunch of channel packages. Comcast has a pretty big basic lineup and a huge digital expanded tier that’s not much more money. The variety of HD channels is bigger at Comcast than what you can get through satellite I want to be prepared for HDTV even though I don’t have one yet. Comcast has unlimited flat rate national local and long distance phone service as well. My local telco is offering new deals to compete but they haven’t offered me flat rate national calling yet. Their service has been generally good, but I would prefer having the bill the same every month. For my broadband access, I am using DSL right now. I can’t complain as it does what it’s supposed to, but some of my pals have got internet using a cable connection and it works much faster than mine. I’m a computer and xbox gamer so I could use some extra speed. Comcast seems to have a pretty good high speed service as well. For unbelievable download speed I can go above the basic tier to a faster service. If I bundle all three services with Comcast’s triple play package it looks like I’ll get some big savings over ordering all three services. Does anybody who has utilized these services have any suggestions?
