President Obama recently urged Congress to delay the February 17 digital TV transition, after the government’s program to subsidize digital converters ran out of money, forcing those interested in digital transition coupons to sign onto a waiting list. Conrgess listened, delaying the official transition until June, though several hundred broadcasters made the switch anyway — without incident. It now looks like the DTV coupon program is back on track. Everybody who signed up for a coupon should have them in the next few weeks, thanks to the addition of 0 million more in funds to the existing .3 billion assigned to the project.
