BERLIN, Germany (AVING) — Leoni Kerpen and Datentechnik Moll (dtm) develop LED patch cable for clear identification via light signals.

For the first time, the new Class EA patch cables offer light identification via LED with various different flashing rhythms. They allow cables and connections in offices, in industry and in computer centres to be traced very clearly and rapidly and make it much easier to find a patch.

The light signal is activated with the help of a detector which is inserted into the pair of contacts on the back of the plug. Repeated pressing of the detector button allows you to choose between three different signal types – light on, slow flashing and rapid flashing – depending on the light conditions.
