Huawei and Samsung to conduct world’s first LTE interoperability test

SEOUL, Korea (AVING) — Huawei, a leader in providing next-generation telecommunications network solutions for operators around the world, and Samsung Electronics announced they will jointly conduct the world’s first Long Term Evolution (LTE) Interoperability Test (IOT) in Europe in November to verify the interoperability of LTE network infrastructures and terminals.

The IOT in Europe will be performed on Huawei’s LTE network and LTE modems manufactured by Samsung. The testing represents a big step forward for the commercialization of LTE and bringing mobile broadband services to end-users.

“The test bridges the most cutting-edge telecom technology with people’s demands for enjoying rich and compelling services anytime, anywhere,” said Mr. Wan Biao.
