2009 saw a lot of things, but 2010 promises to be even more exciting and eventful. Can’t wait. Happy New Year’s from Remove The Labels.

The upcoming Google phone (aka the “Nexus One”) already indicated that the device was designed specifically for T-Mobile, though neither Google or T-Mobile confirmed it – until now.

LG Electronics has launched its new stylish external hard drives “XG1 Chic” in the Korean market, with curved edges and a LED lamp on the front panel. The XG1 Chic supports SATA II and has a 3.5-inch form factor, equipped with a powerful and silent cooling system and comes in white or black.

Many ISPs fail to expand broadband to all of their potential customers, which is sometimes understandable given the expense. Sometimes, they lobby to have laws passed or engage in sleazy tactics to prevent those from getting service.

TiVo’s future depends, in large part, on cable companies embedding the TV software into their set top devices. So it’s interesting to see TiVo file comments with the FCC blasting the cable industry for making life as an independent set top creator annoyingly difficult.

Psystar, perhaps the most confused company in 2009. Went up against Apple, got smacked down. Possibly stole community software for loading OS X, got smacked around. Then decided to sell t-shirts, got laughed at. Now? They’re selling Linux machines.

What do you do when you’re a telecom industry trade group that wants the FCC to ignore the fact that U.S. consumers pay more money, for slower bandwidth, in fewer locations than more than a dozen other countries? You pick out a largely meaningless metric we actually are good at and blow it out of proportion.

C-motech introduced its dual-mode USB modem ‘CBU-450D’ supporting both HSUPA and WiBro in the Korean market.

LG Electronics has launched its new clamshell phone Candy Phone (model: LG-SU410) targeting young female customers, now available in the Korean market via SK Telecom and Japan market via NTT DoCoMo.

The Yudu™ screen-printing system is the easiest, cleanest way to let everyone know who you are—and how you see the world. Don’t settle for what everyone else is wearing or spend hours futilely trying to find a t-shirt that expresses the real you.

Another morsel to come out of Fiat’s 2-year plan is the short term product plan for Lancia, a brand that the parent company has been accused of neglecting for quite a while. In addition to the usual refreshes and facelifts, the truly juicy bit is that Fiat plans 17 new vehicles over the next two years, and Chrysler platforms will provide the basis for four Lancias.

One of the original apps that did Google Voice on the Apple iPhone, Sean Kovacs GV Mobile but was ripped out of the Apple iTunes app store because of the politics of Google Voice and AT&T’s “policies” and later was set loose on the Cydia/Rock scene (read: jailbroken iPhone scene) is currently in private beta.

2009 was a good year. An oft-delayed redesign, a few good reviews, a few reviews that didn’t make the cut and I never published them… and the end of being around for over 5 years… hoping that the next decade is indeed an odyssey that includes more readers, more reviews and more cool stuff.

A week ago, Mediacom went through with a promising e-mail upgrade that might take a week to accomplish said update. Two weeks later, the upgrade still has users still without e-mail service and users are irate. Don’t blame them.

Well, in early 2010, RiverTurn Inc. plans to ease that pain with their upcoming VoiceCentral Black Swan edition Apple iPhone “app” which is now in private beta.
