Charter has debut free upgrades to their company’s Express tier that used to be 5 Mbps down and 1 Mbps up, and is now 8 Mbps down and 1 Mbps up. Charter’s Plus tier has gone from 10 Mbps down and 2 Mbps up to 16 Mbps down and 2 Mbps up. The company’s Max tier has gone from 20 Mbps down and 2 Mbps up to 25 Mbps down and 3 Mbps up.

At launch, Google took heat for a number of things related to their Nexus One Android based smartphone, including the fact that customers who canceled service early faced $550 in fees – a $200 ETF from T-Moble, and a $350 Google “Equipment Recovery Fee”.

This is the second “One Year Later” review that I’ve done where I feel like a day, a week, or even a month just doesn’t do service to a review about an item(s) that should be used and critiqued over the year to find any and all problems, quirks and hopefully all of the good parts all enough time to come to the surface. Just a bit over a year ago, I purchased one of the Ooma Hub and Scout combo packages and decided I was going to test it. As with all over VoIP platforms, the Ooma Hub depends upon your internet connection. Your connection goes down, so goes your ability to use your phone.

Just like all things cool on the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch, this will require some jailbreaking and some know-how; however Redmond Pie has shown you how to save $499 and get the newer iPad interface onto your iPhone/iPod Touch.

I know I mentioned the GOGII textPlus running on Android almost two weeks ago, but I didn’t have any screenshots of it running quite yet. Well… now I do. This is a great addition by GOGII on the Google Android platform.

AT&T today announced new unlimited plans across all devices – including its industry-leading lineup of smartphones – to provide more value and choice for customers who want to talk, text and surf on the nation’s fastest 3G network.

GOGII textPlus, a free Apple iPhone application to send free SMS to your contact list or up to groups of 50 has been released on the Android platform.

Apple iPhone and iPod Touch users can download the free textPlus 2.1 app from the Apple App Store, then become “community managers” by creating names for their various groups within the app. A community manager can invite up to 50 members to join a group (members don’t need to have the app or use an iPhone – they simply need to have a phone that is text-enabled), and send one text to the entire community name to initiate a conversation.

Seems like the trampling during Black Friday was kept to a minimum… hope that’s not an indicator that the economy is still very down. So, how about a small sampling of the Cyber Monday Sales? I’m not too thrilled so far, but if you know of any, send us a tip!

Blinkcase is offering 30% off on all of their fashionable Apple iPhone and Apple iPod Touch cases and accessories via the coupon “BLACKFRIDAY09″.

Once again, I’ll be sitting back watching the news and surfing the internet while somebody unfortunately gets trampled for a relatively inexpensive gadget somewhere in America. Let’s save some lives as well as some money… the following links will hopefully save both.

Being a college student usually means that your book expenses were more than your food expenses… which is not exactly fun at all. Questia plans on making learning a bit more inexpensive and modern with their Apple iPhone and iPod Touch app.

RTL’s Save Money Mondays has profiled Dealnews.com that collects Black Friday ads, online coupons, online specials, free Apple iPhone apps and overall will save you money.

GOGII, Inc. has recently updated their textPlus Apple iPhone application to version 2.0 and added the ability for people to simply respond to your free username via textPlus 2.0 and you’ll receive the message whether you’re in the app or via the Apple iPhone 3.0 enabled push notifications when you’re not in the app.

Being up-to-date and/or being an early adopter in the realm of gadgets is very expensive. In this edition of Save Money Mondays, I’d love to share with you one of the places that collects a lot of software and hardware deals in one place for your perusal. I’ve been a fan of Deals2buy.com for years.
