Quite possibly the sexiest hybrid made thus far, Porsche has shown off their concept Porsche 918 plug-in hybrid that gets 78mpg and hits 62mph in 3.2 seconds while looking extremely sexy. Green and goes fast when the light turns green.

Comcast unveiled their plans to rebrand their Internet, VoIP and TV services all under the “Xfinity” moniker. While Comcast was hoping to create a modern brand that could do battle with AT&T U-Verse and Verizon FiOS, the decision to misspell infinity with “extreme” and painfully cliche 90’s brand stylings wasn’t a particularly inspired or creative choice.

Sad server, sadder database. Seems like a “fix” I tried in December made a mess of things in January and February. But things are better now… sunny days ahead. Nothing is broken any longer.

Google has introduced Google Buzz that will incorporate directly into GMail, something I wished that Google Wave would have done. What’s Google Buzz? Well, it’s basically another layer within GMail that allows you to instantly share videos, links, websites, quirky thoughts with your other contacts without having to send an e-mail. You set up… well a “buzz” basically. Falling right in line with Twitter and Pownce (remember that one?) like manner of quick communication and sharing.

In what appears to be a promotion gone wrong, Cox Communications has accidentally offered free PlayStation 3’s to every Cox customer in Arizona that signs up for service or upgrades existing service. The deal was supposedly intended only to lure in new Cox customers, but Cox’s marketing team accidentally sent the flyers out to all customers.

Yep, they screwed up.

Punk rock started in 1974 or so and let’s face it. It was the time of the Ramones, the Sex Pistols, and The Clash… and that was 36 years ago. So for your inner-punk rocker, why not sport the spiked sports wristband by Atypyk during your “Sweating to the Oldies” workout tape?

Square Enix’s Play Arts Kai figures are an improved version of their popular Play Arts action figure series. With a larger scale, a greater attention to detail, more articulation points, and additional parts, these are their finest action figure yet. Based on Final Fantasy XIII, the highly-anticipated role-playing game coming to the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 in Spring 2010, this deluxe action figure recreates the Odin summons from the new game.

2009 saw a lot of things, but 2010 promises to be even more exciting and eventful. Can’t wait. Happy New Year’s from Remove The Labels.

TiVo’s future depends, in large part, on cable companies embedding the TV software into their set top devices. So it’s interesting to see TiVo file comments with the FCC blasting the cable industry for making life as an independent set top creator annoyingly difficult.

Psystar, perhaps the most confused company in 2009. Went up against Apple, got smacked down. Possibly stole community software for loading OS X, got smacked around. Then decided to sell t-shirts, got laughed at. Now? They’re selling Linux machines.

2009 was a good year. An oft-delayed redesign, a few good reviews, a few reviews that didn’t make the cut and I never published them… and the end of being around for over 5 years… hoping that the next decade is indeed an odyssey that includes more readers, more reviews and more cool stuff.

The Final Fantasy XIII launch event in Japan, the show started 6:30AM at Shibuya Tsutaya. Game stores at Shibuya, Akihabara and Ikebukuro had around 350 people lining up before 7am, people started lining up as early as 9:30pm the night before.

Photovisi is a very simple online way to create collages for print and for your computer desktop, so easy that your mother and grandmother could use it.

The Aston Martin Rapide is definitely a sexy piece of kit. Going up against the other four door ultra-high luxury sedan, the Porsche Panamera, it finally got a price of £139,950 or $230,171.14 if it were to rely on today’s currency exchange.

A significant chunk of the fiber to the home deployments in this country is being accomplished by roughly 700 smaller rural telcos, co-ops, and municipal operations.
