Google’s Nexus One coming to Verizon on March 23rd with AT&T soon behind? Mmm, could be!

Adobe AIR applications are coming for the Google Android and other mobile devices very soon; backed by 24 network operators and the GSM Association to offer more apps to phones and users.

Google has introduced Google Buzz that will incorporate directly into GMail, something I wished that Google Wave would have done. What’s Google Buzz? Well, it’s basically another layer within GMail that allows you to instantly share videos, links, websites, quirky thoughts with your other contacts without having to send an e-mail. You set up… well a “buzz” basically. Falling right in line with Twitter and Pownce (remember that one?) like manner of quick communication and sharing.

At launch, Google took heat for a number of things related to their Nexus One Android based smartphone, including the fact that customers who canceled service early faced $550 in fees – a $200 ETF from T-Moble, and a $350 Google “Equipment Recovery Fee”.

Vodafone UK announced that they will be offering Sony Ericsson’s first Android smartphone ‘XPERIA X10′ in April 2010. The XPERIA X10 adopts a new UX platform that will evolve across the product portfolio and expand over time continuously introducing new features and capabilities. The UX platform builds on top of the Open OS and creates a unique Sony Ericsson user experience by combining best-in-class entertainment features with signature applications, unrivaled integration of social media services and a rich graphical user interface.

A new filing with the FCC indicates that the Google phone, the Nexus One, will eventually be coming to AT&T’s network as well.

Call it a work in progress, but some illustrious members of Maemo.org have gotten Google Android (Eclair) to boot and be functional on the Maemo Linux based Nokia N900. Why is it a work in progress? The touchscreen works, as well as the keyboard on the N900; however you will not be making any phone calls via Android on the N900 quite yet. In fact, not all sounds or modules have been interfaced yet.

I know I mentioned the GOGII textPlus running on Android almost two weeks ago, but I didn’t have any screenshots of it running quite yet. Well… now I do. This is a great addition by GOGII on the Google Android platform.

GOGII textPlus, a free Apple iPhone application to send free SMS to your contact list or up to groups of 50 has been released on the Android platform.

Google has a lot of good plans for Google Voice in 2010 after acquiring Gizmo5. AT&T and Verizon need to innovate or adapt, haven’t shown that they will.

The upcoming Google phone (aka the “Nexus One”) already indicated that the device was designed specifically for T-Mobile, though neither Google or T-Mobile confirmed it – until now.

One of the original apps that did Google Voice on the Apple iPhone, Sean Kovacs GV Mobile but was ripped out of the Apple iTunes app store because of the politics of Google Voice and AT&T’s “policies” and later was set loose on the Cydia/Rock scene (read: jailbroken iPhone scene) is currently in private beta.

Well, in early 2010, RiverTurn Inc. plans to ease that pain with their upcoming VoiceCentral Black Swan edition Apple iPhone “app” which is now in private beta.

In a deal that was all but sealed going into the weekend, seems like Yelp’s CEO Jeremy Stoppleman has abandoned that prior deal with Google.
