ASUS held a press conference to announce its Windows 7 based ultra-slim notebook PC UL Series and fifth-generation netbook Eee PC Touch for the Korean market.

Boasting up to 12 hours of battery life thanks to the company’s exclusive EPU (Energy Processing Unit) system and 5600mAh 8-cell battery pack, the UL Series is powered by Intel Core 2 Duo SU7300 CULV processor.

Adopting an 8-inch swiveling multi-touch screen and Windows 7 Home Premium OS, the Eee PC Touch features Intel’s Atom Z series CPU, 32GB SSD and remains lightweight at 0.9kg.

SEOUL, Korea (AVING) — ASUS launched its two new Eee PCs ’1101HA’ and ’1005HA’ based on Windows 7 operating system. Equipped with 250GB HDD, it adopts a 11.5-inch HD LCD screen with 1366 X 768 resolution. Eee PC 1101HA is available in Blue, Black and White, and Eee PC 1005HA comes in Blue, White, Pink and Black. No words on pricing yet.

Asus has announced a new controller. The Eee Stick is a wireless controller that senses motion. But don’t let the similar sounding name, design and function of the Eee Stick fool you, it’s made for PC gaming.

The controller will be bundled with a variety of Asus brand computers and some games designed specifically for use with the Eee Stick.

So are the controllers a good alternative to Wii-less people who have a PC but not a Wii? Or is it a cheaply made knock-off intended to sell mini computers? Only time, and comments from consumers will tell.
