Skono, a Norwegian fashion brand (www.skonokorea.com), launched at the end of October, fashion item “Revolution Indi Lace” to lead the trend this winter.

The “Indi Lace” for both men and women is made of suede to keep warm in the winter with weaving of a peasant feel. It provides shoelaces of two colors for different looks.

It comes in five colors of yellow brown, dark brown, khaki, navy and purple, and it is sold in Skono shops and shopping malls (www.skonokorea.com) nationwide. It costs KRW 99,000, or about $90 USD.

Skono, which was born in 2003 in Norway, is a practical and modern looking fashion brand with chick points for the lifestyle of the new generation particular to Northern Europe.

Hitachi-LG Data Storage Inc. Acer has introduced a Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU based, Android 2.1 OS loaded smartphone named Stream at IFA 2010 held in Berlin, Germany from September 3 to 8.

‘Stream’ is loaded with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 1GHz processor and 3.7 inch AMOLED display. It also supports Acer UI 4.0, 512MB ram, Wi-Fi, GPS and micro HDMI.

Samsung Digital Imaging released its 10 megapixel high-end compact digital camera EX1 in the Korea market, designed specifically for today’s advanced and enthusiast photographers.

The new flagship of the company’s compact digital camera family, the new EX1 incorporates a full-range of advanced features, including a high-performance imaging sensor and one of the most impressive lenses ever found on a compact camera – a 24mm ultra-wide angle Schneider KREUZNACH lens, f/1.8.

The Samsung EX1 is sure to turn heads thanks to its f/1.8 Schneider lens. PENTAX has shown their slim and stylish digital camera Optio I-10, which comes with a design inspired by the classic look of film SLR cameras.

The new Optio features a flash unit and speaker in the upper mid-section of the SLR-shaped body while the camera’s front panel is embellished with high quality leatherette texture and the classic PENTAX logo placed front and center.

The Optio I-10 features a wide angle, 5X optical zoom lens (28mm-140mm equivalent), a 12.1 megapixel high resolution CCD sensor, a 2.7 inch widescreen LCD, and HD video capture at 720p and 30 FPS. For optimal image capture, the camera features a mechanical sensor shift Shake Reduction system for blur-free images as well as Smile Capture, Blink Detection and improved Face Detection that spots up to 32 faces including dogs and cats. LG Electronics has launched its new clamshell phone Candy Phone (model: LG-SU410) targeting young female customers, now available in the Korean market via SK Telecom and Japan market via NTT DoCoMo.

According to the company, by using the vibration principle, objects such as a paper box, a piece of wood, a postcard, or an umbrella can turn into portable speakers with Vibholic’s mini module. The first U.S. built Kia vehicle, a white Kia Sorento, rolled off the production line today at Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia (KMMG), the first opening of an U.S. Kia Motors plant. KMMG is expected to produce 300,000 vehicles at full capacity and employ 2,500 people, with on-site and nearby suppliers creating 7,500 additional jobs in the region.

Representing an investment of $1 Billion USD by Kia Motors, KMMG will establish new benchmarks for vehicle quality and productivity by utilizing some of the world’s most advanced manufacturing techniques. KMMG’s general assembly area is outfitted with more than a half mile of height-adjustable conveyors to achieve the most favorable installation position for each team member.
