Google’s Nexus One coming to Verizon on March 23rd with AT&T soon behind? Mmm, could be!

From the sound of it, ISPs are working with Cisco to design a public relations counterpunch to Google’s announcement, which as we noted at launch is in part designed to give Google policy and political ammunition in the fights over open access, network neutrality, and competition.

Google has introduced Google Buzz that will incorporate directly into GMail, something I wished that Google Wave would have done. What’s Google Buzz? Well, it’s basically another layer within GMail that allows you to instantly share videos, links, websites, quirky thoughts with your other contacts without having to send an e-mail. You set up… well a “buzz” basically. Falling right in line with Twitter and Pownce (remember that one?) like manner of quick communication and sharing.

The Samsung Monte comes equipped with a 3.0-inch WQVGA LCD screen with 16:9 landscape viewing. It also boasts a 3.2-megapixel camera with many value-added features including smile shot, panorama shot, and face detection.

At launch, Google took heat for a number of things related to their Nexus One Android based smartphone, including the fact that customers who canceled service early faced $550 in fees – a $200 ETF from T-Moble, and a $350 Google “Equipment Recovery Fee”.

A new filing with the FCC indicates that the Google phone, the Nexus One, will eventually be coming to AT&T’s network as well.

Call it a work in progress, but some illustrious members of Maemo.org have gotten Google Android (Eclair) to boot and be functional on the Maemo Linux based Nokia N900. Why is it a work in progress? The touchscreen works, as well as the keyboard on the N900; however you will not be making any phone calls via Android on the N900 quite yet. In fact, not all sounds or modules have been interfaced yet.

I know I mentioned the GOGII textPlus running on Android almost two weeks ago, but I didn’t have any screenshots of it running quite yet. Well… now I do. This is a great addition by GOGII on the Google Android platform.

Taking a look at the Inbrics MID M1, it is everything that most of the prior MIDs were not. Thin, powered by an OS that’s meant to be portable and lightweight. And above all… it’s downright sexy. There’s been a few videos that were released last year, but above is the final product. Currently running Google Android 1.5, Inbrics is quickly making its way towards 2.0, if not 2.1 very soon in time for their upcoming release.

GOGII textPlus, a free Apple iPhone application to send free SMS to your contact list or up to groups of 50 has been released on the Android platform.

Google has a lot of good plans for Google Voice in 2010 after acquiring Gizmo5. AT&T and Verizon need to innovate or adapt, haven’t shown that they will.

The upcoming Google phone (aka the “Nexus One”) already indicated that the device was designed specifically for T-Mobile, though neither Google or T-Mobile confirmed it – until now.

One of the original apps that did Google Voice on the Apple iPhone, Sean Kovacs GV Mobile but was ripped out of the Apple iTunes app store because of the politics of Google Voice and AT&T’s “policies” and later was set loose on the Cydia/Rock scene (read: jailbroken iPhone scene) is currently in private beta.

Well, in early 2010, RiverTurn Inc. plans to ease that pain with their upcoming VoiceCentral Black Swan edition Apple iPhone “app” which is now in private beta.

Opera 10.5 Pre-alpha downloads for OS X and Windows shows promise with a new JavaScript engine and an optimized rendering engine.
