No doubt brought forth due to the pending release of the Sony PSP Go later today (October 1st, 2009), Sony has released the 6.10 Firmware for the PSP-3000 and so forth. Besides the typical “security” updates, Sony added SensMe.

With the Nintendo Wii and DSi selling like crazy all over the world and a surge in sales for the Microsoft 360 in Europe and America, Namco Bandai and Konami are both bringing out former Sony PS3 exclusives to the Microsoft 360 – Tekken 6, Soul Calibur 4, Final Fantasy, Metal Gear Solid among other companies and games are “defecting” from the Sony-exclusive camp.

Sony had learned a lot from the PSP-2000 and PSP-1000 versions and had hardened the PSP-3000 against the typical attacks. Seems like the nearly unhackable Sony PSP-3000 running the 5.03 firmware has been hacked finally.

Namco Bandai released a new debut teaser for Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny for PSP. The game will be released in summer 2009.

Can’t believe that I hadn’t seen this one yet, but quickly after the Sony PSP 4.0 upgrade, Sony slipped out the 4.01 update in the US. What does it add? Good question. I can’t find anything particularly new or worthy of a dot upgrade. They already added the redundant Google search portion of the app. [...]

Wow. I didn’t see this one coming… The guys over at Ubergizmo caught a frame that all-but-confirms that Skype is indeed coming for the Sony PSP – Playstation Portable. Maybe that means that the US gamers will finally get the Chotto Shot camera attachment that just never quite materialized in the US. Same with the [...]
