Could this be the Microsoft “Pink”, aka the Zune Phone? Reports indicate that Microsoft will show it at Barcelona’s Mobile World Congress 2010.

Microsoft Zune HD owners finally have something that they can show off to their Apple iPod Touch mp3 player brethren. Microsoft has updated the Zune Marketplace and added free 3D games like PGR: Ferrari Edition and Vans Sk8: Pool Service that take full advantage of the Nvidia Tegra chipset and the Microsoft Zune HD multi-touch capabilities to show off some serious 3D capabilities.

Upon restarting the Zune software, you will now be greeted by an all purpose “home page” named the Quickplay page. You will see a quick rundown of a Welcome message, what’s new in the Zune Marketplace and your playback history – which… didn’t pick up on anything I’ve played in the prior iteration of the Zune software so far.

Early this morning we were alerted by our customers that there was a widespread issue affecting our 2006 model Zune 30GB devices (a large number of which are still actively being used). The technical team jumped on the problem immediately and isolated the issue: a bug in the internal clock driver related to the way the device handles a leap year. The issue should be resolved over the next 24 hours as the time change moves to January 1, 2009. We expect the internal clock on the Zune 30GB devices will automatically reset tomorrow (noon, GMT). By tomorrow you should allow the battery to fully run out of power before the unit can restart successfully then simply ensure that your device is recharged, then turn it back on.

Apparently at 12am, any Zune 30 that had been updated with the most current firmware just stopped working. Mind you, I own a Zune 120 but even so, this might affect my Zune as well.
